Located in Landreville in the Côte des Bar, Champagne René Jolly is a family owned business with a history dating back to 1737.
The winery only produces champagne from its own vineyards and has 13.55 hectares split between 5 family owned parcels.
These are planted 75% to Pinot Noir and 25% to Chardonnay. The vineyards are treated with no chemical fertilisers, all grapes are hand harvested as late as possible.
Every wine in the range is a blend of at least 3 different years and once bottled spends a minimum of 3 years in the cellars, before being disgorged by hand without freezing.
Champagne René Jolly is one of the only producers in the region to use this method of disgorgement.
Pierre-Eric Jolly, the current winemaker, took over from his father in 2000 and since then has brought many new innovations to the winery and indeed the Champagne region, including the
Carbon Cap and his 3 wire Muselet-Y, the first of its kind.
